Rajasthan Royals Bring Replacements: The Rajasthan Royals have named Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Nandre Burger of South Africa as their replacements for Sandeep Sharma and Nitish Rana, respectively, who have been sidelined by injury for the remainder of the 2025 Indian Premier League.
Rana’s niggle kept him out of RR’s most recent match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens. He concluded the season with two half-centuries and a top score of 81, scoring 217 runs from 11 games with a strike-rate of 161.94.
Pretorius, a South African batsman, joins the Rajasthan Royals
For INR 30 lakh, South African left-handed “keeper-batter” Lhuan-dre Pretorius will join RR. Pretorius who plays for the Paarl Royals in SA20 cricket. The Titans in domestic cricket was the highest scorer in the most recent season with 397 runs from 12 games at a strike-rate of 166.81.
Burger fills in for the injured Sandeep Sharma.
In the interim, Sandeep, who has nine wickets in ten games for the Royals this season, suffered a finger injury. After playing six games for the Royals the previous season, the team selected Burger for INR 3.5 crore.
