May 24,RCB vs SRH Highlights: Sunrisers Hyderabad beat RCB by 42 runs and recorded a big victory in the Match between RCB vs SRH . Batting first, Sunrisers scored 231 runs for six wickets in 20 overs with Ishan Kishan’s strong innings. In reply, Phil Salt and Virat Kohli gave the team a brilliant start, but RCB were bowled out for 189 runs in 19.5 overs. RCB have already qualified for the playoffs, but this loss has dealt a blow to their chances of consolidating their place in the top two.
RCB’s Strong Start Fades as Bowlers Take Charge
Kohli and Salt gave the team a good start by sharing 80 runs for the first wicket. After Kohli’s dismissal, Salt took the lead and also scored a half-century. After Salt’s dismissal, RCB’s innings faltered and started losing wickets at regular intervals. Under the leadership of Pat Cummins, the bowlers made a strong comeback. The biggest contribution was Ishaan Malinga who took the wickets of explosive batsmen like Romario Shepherd and Tim David.
For RCB, Salt scored 62 runs off 32 balls with four fours and five sixes, while Kohli scored 43 runs off 25 balls with seven fours and a six. Apart from these two batsmen, no one else could play a big innings. Rajat Patidar contributed 18 runs and Jitesh Sharma 24 runs. The performance of RCB’s lower-order batsmen was quite disappointing with four of their batsmen failing to reach even 10 points, while two failed to even open the account. Cummins took three wickets for Sunrisers, while Malinga took two wickets. Apart from these two, Jaydev Unadkat, Harshal Patel, Harsh Dubey and Nitish Kumar Reddy got one wicket each.
