SAD to Elect New President on April 12

Amritsar, April 8:– The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will elect its new party president on April 12 during a general delegate session at Teja Singh Samundari Hall, located within the Sri Darbar Sahib complex in Amritsar.

The announcement followed a meeting of the SAD Working Committee on Tuesday, chaired by party president Balwinder Singh Bhundar.

The committee also declared plans for a political conference at Talwandi Sabo on April 13, coinciding with Baisakhi.

Members of the committee thanked Bhundar for his leadership, noting he had steered the party through challenges with “maturity and a statesmanlike approach.”
