Khuralgarh Sahib, Feb 6: The Sant Samaj expressed deep gratitude to the Punjab government on Friday for the extensive arrangements made to celebrate the 649th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji. During a state-level event at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, religious leaders praised the administration for its reverence in handling the sacred occasion and initiating a roadmap for future commemorations.
Sant Nirmal Das Ji Jaure Wale, representing the Guru Ravidass Ji Sadhu Samparda Society, personally thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for the large-scale event. He noted the spiritual significance of the venue, where the Guru spent over four years in devotion. “The Guru Ravidass Ji Sadhu Samparda Society extends its congratulations to the state government, particularly to CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, for making extensive arrangements for the Parkash Purb,” Sant Nirmal Das Ji stated.
The government also received praise for its practical contributions to preserving religious heritage. Sant Pradeep Das Ji of Dera Ballan mentioned the allocation of 10 acres of land near Dera Ballan for the Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Bani Adhyayan Kendra as a major milestone. “It is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction that the Punjab government has provided 10 acres of land near Dera Ballan to establish the Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Bani Adhyayan Kendra, for which we are grateful to the government,” he said.
Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema announced that this event marks the start of a year-long series of programs leading up to the 650th Prakash Purb. He confirmed that a Cabinet sub-committee has been formed to ensure the Guru’s teachings reach every part of the state. Earlier, the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues joined the Sangat for Ardas following the Bhog of Sri Akhand Paath Sahib to seek blessings for the state.
