SDM Inspects Playground Projects in 95 Kharar Villages

KHARAR, May 23 — Sub-Divisional Magistrate Divya P on Friday conducted a field visit to multiple villages in the Kharar subdivision to inspect newly completed and ongoing playground development projects under the MGNREGA scheme.

The initiative aims to equip every village in the district with a functional, well-maintained playground. “A total of 95 villages have been included in this project. While some playgrounds have already been completed, others are in various stages of construction,” said SDM Divya during the visit.

The inspections are part of a state government directive mandating that all designated sites be physically reviewed by officers between May 19 and May 23, 2025. Officials are required to submit detailed status reports following their inspections.

Divya P described the initiative as a significant step toward enhancing recreational infrastructure in rural areas. “Playgrounds are not just about physical space — they’re essential for the growth, health, and well-being of children and youth. We will ensure that all facilities meet quality standards and are completed without undue delay,” she stated.

The SDM also assured that any issues related to construction quality or project delays would be swiftly addressed. Her visit underscores the administration’s focus on accountability, timely execution, and community development through inclusive infrastructure.
