Amritsar, June 8 — The scheduled meeting of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee’s (SGPC) internal committee, which was to take place on June 9, has been postponed and will now be held on June 12.
In an official press release, SGPC Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Mannan stated, “The meeting of the Interim Committee, earlier planned for June 9 at the SGPC head office, will now be convened on June 12 at 12 noon due to unavoidable urgent engagements.”
Mannan further informed that the meeting of the Dharam Prachar Committee will also take place on the same day at 3 pm. “All concerned office bearers and committee members have been duly informed about the revised schedule,” he added.
The SGPC has not disclosed the nature of the urgent engagements prompting the rescheduling.
