Patiala, May 19: A Patiala-based philanthropic organization has confirmed plans to bankroll the university education of 10 underprivileged students for the upcoming academic cycle.
The Sheela Alipuria Charitable Society finalized the list of beneficiaries during a strategic planning session dedicated to reviewing regional scholarship applications. The foundation has maintained a consistent social service record over the last three years, successfully sponsoring the complete educational expenses of 25 meritorious students from low-income households.
Foundation President Ajay Alipuria asserted that upgrading the educational status of a single vulnerable child has the power to permanently transform the economic trajectory of an entire family. He called on affluent citizens to voluntarily sponsor the academic journey of at least one disadvantaged child during their lifetimes.
“Every small and big problem in life can be solved through hard work and higher education,” Alipuria declared.
The organizational briefing highlighted that several current scholarship recipients from impoverished backgrounds have recently cleared competitive Chartered Accountancy examinations. Senior CA Abhishek Gupta attended the session to support the initiative, which emphasizes mentoring alongside financial aid. To ensure the students maximize their academic potential, organizers distributed books and instructed the youth to focus heavily on self-study, literature, and skill development rather than recreational technology.
