by TheReportingTimes

Mumbai, June 9 — Former cricketer and television personality Navjot Singh Sidhu is set to return to Kapil Sharma’s comedy universe as part of Season 3 of The Great Indian Kapil Show, the makers announced on Monday. The show will stream on Netflix starting June 21 at 8 p.m.

Sidhu, who was a fixture on Comedy Nights with Kapil from 2013 to 2016 and also appeared in the first two seasons of The Kapil Sharma Show, is reuniting with the team alongside longtime collaborator Archana Puran Singh.

The announcement was shared by Netflix via a video on its Instagram handle. The platform captioned on X: “Ek kursi paaji ke liye please. Har Funnyvaar Badhega Humara Parivaar with the comeback of Navjot Singh Sidhu & Archana Puran Singh.”

Speaking on his return, Sidhu described the experience as deeply personal. “Coming to The Great Indian Kapil Show feels like I’m coming home again. It is a home run for me,” he said. “We heard the voice of the people, so many fans and well-wishers who loved our interactions and wanted to see more.”

In his signature poetic style, Sidhu added, “A smile doesn’t cost you a cent, but it is worth millions of dollars, and The Great Indian Kapil Show is an instrument of God’s goodwill to bring happiness to mankind — honoured to be part of it again.”

Kapil Sharma expressed equal enthusiasm about the reunion. “We promised that Har Funnyvaar badhega Humaara parivaar, and I’m thrilled to have Sidhu paaji back with Archana ji to enjoy all the chutkules, shayaris, and masti,” he said. “The mahaul is set — this season, jokes and laughter are both going triple!”

Alongside Sidhu, the upcoming season will also feature fan favourites Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, and Kiku Sharda, reuniting some of the original comic energy that made the show a household staple.

The show’s return on a global streaming platform marks a significant evolution from its earlier broadcast versions, promising a broader reach and renewed content energy — now complete with its most iconic laughter ambassador back in the chair.
