Panchkula, March 26 — The crime branch has arrested six people, including a woman, in connection with a burglary at a Sector 4 residence in Panchkula, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place between March 16 and 18 when Rajiv Kumar and his family were away in Shimla. Upon returning, they found their main door lock broken and the almirah ransacked, with jewellery and other valuables missing. Kumar filed a police complaint on March 19.
Following the investigation, police arrested three suspects near Shakti Bhawan, Sector 7, on March 23. The accused were identified as Rupinder Arora of Sector 4, Panchkula; Nadeem of Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh; and Deep Inder Singh of Mohali. Police recovered ₹22,000 from Arora, ₹20,000 from Nadeem, and ₹25,000 from Deep Inder Singh.
Further interrogation led police to Greater Noida, where they arrested three more suspects—Mohit of Gautam Budh Nagar, Amit of Bulandshahr, and Ved Parkash of Greater Noida.
“The total recovery stands at ₹67,000, and further investigation is underway,” a police official said.
