State Government Accelerates Yudh Nashean Virudh Campaign

by TheReportingTimes

Chandigarh, Oct 14: Punjab state leadership has stepped up measures under the Yudh Nashean Virudh initiative, introducing new awareness drives and mental health support frameworks to combat drug dependency. Academic institutions across the region hosted interactive sessions addressing demand reduction, where medical specialists and counselors urged young adults to seek professional help for emotional stress and resist negative peer influence. The initiatives also coincided with the completion of a week-long training program for fellows under the state’s Leadership in Mental Health Programme, designed to address the psychological aspects of substance use.

Complementing these campus dialogues, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann inaugurated a major state-wide motorcycle rally designed to rally public support across every district in Punjab. Government representatives asserted that the combined focus on destigmatizing mental health, promoting healthy lifestyles, and mobilizing local communities forms the core of the state’s long-term strategy. Authorities confirmed that additional outreach programs and educational workshops will roll out in the coming weeks to sustain momentum.
