Sukhbir Badal Accused of Double Standards by Malvinder Kang

MP says questioning Sri Akal Takht Sahib is an unforgivable act against the Panth

Chandigarh, April 8: Malvinder Singh Kang, the Aam Aadmi Party Member of Parliament, stated that Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal has exposed a double character by labeling recent religious decisions as a conspiracy. Kang asserted that this shift in tone reveals an arrogance that disregards the collective will of the Sikh community.

The controversy stems from Badal’s recent remarks regarding the rulings issued by the Sikh supreme institution, Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Kang noted that the Akali chief previously appeared before the institution to acknowledge his past errors, only to reverse his position during public appearances shortly thereafter.

“The way he has questioned the credibility and decisions of the Sikh supreme institution is an act for which the Panth will never forgive him,” Kang affirmed. “Such statements are made only because he sees his political ground slipping away day by day.”

The MP declared that the decisions delivered by the five Singh Sahiban are rooted in glorious history and religious tradition. He stated that calling such proceedings a conspiracy is an insult that the Sangat will not tolerate.

Kang concluded by noting that Badal’s leadership has already been rejected by the people of Punjab due to his previous actions against the state. He maintained that this recent attempt to undermine the credibility of Sri Akal Takht Sahib would result in further accountability from the community in the coming times.
