Fatehgarh Sahib, Dec. 9, 2025 — In a surprise visit to several health centers across Fatehgarh Sahib, AAP MLA Dr. Balbir Singh assessed the functioning of medical staff, medicine availability, and patient care under the Mann government’s healthcare reforms.

“Government hospitals should provide services equal to private hospitals,” Dr. Singh said. “We are committed to eliminating gaps in healthcare delivery.”
The MLA interacted with patients to hear about their experiences and concerns while inspecting facility hygiene and staff conduct. Officials were instructed to address deficiencies promptly and treat patients with full dedication.

The visit comes amid ongoing health sector reforms in Punjab, including the expansion of Mohalla Clinics and Aam Aadmi Clinics, along with equipment modernization at primary health centers. These measures are intended to ensure residents can access quality treatment near their homes.
Residents welcomed the inspection. One relative said, “Leaders visiting in person shows that our concerns matter.” Dr. Singh assured the public that surprise inspections will continue and encouraged reporting of any grievances to ensure government schemes reach citizens effectively.
The inspection reflects the Mann government’s broader focus on public welfare, transparency, and accountability across education, healthcare, and infrastructure development, reinforcing its pledge to serve citizens directly.
