Tehran Rocked by Daylight Air Assaults

US and Israeli Forces Target Iranian Capital Amid Rising Nuclear Tensions

by TheReportingTimes

Tehran, Feb 28: A combined military operation by the United States and Israel targeted Tehran with heavy airstrikes on Saturday, resulting in multiple explosions throughout the city’s central corridors. The strikes occurred near the administrative hub of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, causing visible smoke clouds to rise from the downtown area and forcing an emergency closure of all Iranian airspace.

The Israeli military declared that it had issued a proactive alert to prepare the public for the possibility of missiles being launched toward the state of Israel following the commencement of the assault. This development followed a period of heightening tensions, during which the U.S. deployed a vast fleet of warships and aircraft to the Middle East to address concerns over Iran’s nuclear activities.

“The attack was done to remove threats,” Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz asserted in a brief statement. Although he did not elaborate on the specific nature of the threats, the scale of the explosions suggests a coordinated effort to degrade military or strategic capabilities within the Iranian capital.

Iranian state media reported on the blasts but offered no immediate explanation for the cause or details regarding potential victims. Concerns regarding the safety of Ayatollah Khamenei have grown, as the leader has been absent from the public eye for several days. It is currently unclear if he was in the vicinity of the strike zone when the bombs fell.

As sirens echoed across Israel, additional explosions were heard in Tehran, confirming that the operation was ongoing. Sources declared that the United States is a direct participant in the strikes, marking a significant escalation in the regional conflict. Pilots were warned to steer clear of the area as the Iranian government struggled to assess the damage caused by the surprise daylight raid.
