Tejashwi pledges jobs, medicines, and crime-free Bihar if INDIA bloc wins

Patna, October 24: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a blistering attack on Bihar’s NDA government on Friday, claiming that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will not be allowed to continue if the alliance is voted back to power. Yadav, the INDIA bloc’s CM candidate, also promised a government focused on employment, healthcare, and anti-corruption measures.

Speaking at a rally in Bakhtiyarpur, he said, “Despite 20 years of JD(U)-led NDA rule in Bihar and 11 years at the Centre, our farmers remain poor, unemployment and corruption persist, and criminal activities are rising. This cannot continue.”

The former deputy CM said his government would prioritize listening to citizens’ grievances and delivering welfare schemes. “We will ensure affordable medicines, quality education, and jobs for every family. LPG cylinders will cost Rs 500, old-age pensions will rise to Rs 1,500, and contractual workers will be regularized,” he said.

Yadav accused the Centre of protecting corrupt leaders and hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “jungle raj” allegations against the RJD. “Jungle raj is where scams go unpunished and criminals roam free. The BJP-ruled states witness the most criminal activities in India,” he asserted.

Talking to reporters in Patna, Yadav also criticized the BJP’s campaign strategy. “The BJP sets up factories in Gujarat and seeks victory in Bihar. This will not happen,” he said.

He concluded with a vow that, if elected, the INDIA bloc government would make Bihar “chinta mukt (tension-free),” promising a clean administration and placing emphasis on law enforcement and transparency.
