Kolkata, September 1: Doctor Koushik Lahiri, an advisor to the West Bengal Doctors’ Forum, stated on Sunday that the victim of Kolkata rape case who was allegedly raped and killed at RG Kar Medical College & Hospital “knew too much and was silenced.”

Lahiri stated in a special interview with Hindustan Times, “She constantly sought to explain what she was facing. She wasn’t the sole individual. Many physicians, both junior and senior, encounter the same types of offenses. The majority of them are quiet. This girl made an attempt to speak up.”
Talking about what happened on August 9, the morning the 31-year-old postgraduate trainee doctor’s body was discovered in the hospital’s seminar hall, is “painful and shameful,” according to Dr. Lahiri.

At 10:10 A.M – The Tala Police Station was informed that someone was found unconscious at RG Kar Hospital
At 10:50 A.M- Someone introduced self as deputy super called the father of the deceased to inform him that his daughter had committed suicide.
At 11:30 A.M – One general diary was filed
In between the doctor’s parents were informed and made to sit for three hours at the hospital for no reason. “Everyone was allowed to look at the body except for the parents” claimed Lahiri.
Between 6:10 and 7:10 P.M- The postmortem was carried out. Although postmortem is rarely done after sunset after 2023.
At 8:30 pm – The body was cremated with all the signatures done by some political leader of the locality and not by the parent.
At 11:45 pm – FIR was lodged after the postmortem.
