South Kashmir, April 26: After a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 people, Indian security forces launched a strong crackdown on militants across Jammu and Kashmir, destroying the houses of several known terrorists linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

On Friday night, forces demolished homes in three districts—Shopian, Kulgam, and Pulwama. In Shopian, the house of Shahid Ahmed Kuttey, a top LeT commander involved in terror activities for the past three to four years, was razed.

In Kulgam, security forces blew up the home of Zahid Ahmed, while in Pulwama, the houses of Ahsan Ul Haq, Ehsan Ahmad Sheikh, and Haris Ahmad were destroyed using explosives.

The action followed a similar operation on Thursday, when the homes of Adil Hussain Thoker and Asif Sheikh were also demolished. Both are suspected of involvement in the Pahalgam attack, where gunmen opened fire on tourists visiting the Baisaran valley.

Police have released sketches of the attackers and announced a reward of Rs 20 lakh for information leading to the capture of two Pakistani suspects.

Meanwhile, India has suspended the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed that all those responsible for the Pahalgam attack will be tracked down and punished.
