PANCHKULA, May 13 — A patriotic march titled ‘Tiranga Yatra – Deshbhakti ke Naam’ will take place in Panchkula on Tuesday to pay tribute to the nation’s armed forces.
The procession is scheduled to begin at the open theatre in Yavanika Town Park, Sector 5, and will conclude at Major Sandeep Shankla Chowk. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will lead the yatra, which is expected to draw a significant turnout from residents and volunteers alike.
At the culmination point, wreaths will be laid in memory of the fallen, with CM Saini and other dignitaries paying homage to the soldiers.
“It is a moment of collective gratitude toward those who safeguard our nation,” said Saini.
To coordinate the preparations, K Makarand Pandurang, Director General of the Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department, chaired a meeting on Monday at the district secretariat.
Officials from multiple departments and representatives from various voluntary organisations were present.
Pandurang outlined key instructions to ensure smooth execution of the event and called on the public to take part.
“Participation in the Tiranga Yatra is a way to show our deep respect and commitment to the armed forces,” he said.
The march is expected to be both a symbolic and spirited display of national pride.
