Chandigarh, Jan 30: Haryana is set to prioritize the aspirations of the common citizen in its upcoming 2026–27 state budget. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that the fiscal plan will focus on ensuring development is visible on the ground and that the benefits of various schemes reach the public directly without any intermediaries.
During a high-level review meeting at Haryana Niwas on Thursday, the Chief Minister met with senior officers and cabinet colleagues to evaluate the progress of previous announcements. He noted that the government remains accountable to the people and instructed officials to execute programs within set timelines.
“The Budget for 2026–27 will be centred on public expectations and the welfare of all sections of society,” Saini said. He further mentioned that special attention is being directed toward administrative efficiency and the better utilization of resources.
The session included the presence of several key cabinet members, including Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, Health Minister Arti Singh Rao, and Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa. Discussions revolved around strengthening service delivery in vital sectors such as infrastructure, water resources, and social welfare.
To ensure the process remains inclusive, the Chief Minister mentioned that continuous dialogue is being maintained with various stakeholders. He noted that the state intends to enhance the monitoring and effectiveness of these schemes by integrating information technology and artificial intelligence into the budgetary framework.
