Operation Sindoor a New Security Doctrine: PM

by TheReportingTimes

Madhya Pradesh, September 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday described Operation Sindoor as a defining part of India’s evolving security doctrine, praising the armed forces for swiftly dismantling terror launch pads in Pakistan and declaring that the operation had forced Islamabad “to its knees in the blink of an eye.”

Speaking at a public event in Madhya Pradesh, Modi said the nation’s highest priority was the safety of “Mother India.” He accused terrorists from Pakistan of attempting to “tarnish the dignity of our daughters and sisters” and asserted that the response was decisive. “Through Operation Sindoor, we destroyed the terror launch pads. Our brave soldiers brought Pakistan to its knees,” he remarked, according to Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

The Prime Minister also referred to a video circulated online by a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist, who described the May 7 counter-terror strike in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. The clip, Modi said, confirmed the effectiveness of India’s assault. “Just yesterday, the nation and the world witnessed a Pakistani terrorist tearfully narrating his ordeal, describing how Indian forces entered the stronghold of Jaish chief Maulana Masood Azhar, leading to the deaths of his family members,” he noted.

Calling it proof of India’s success, Modi declared that the country’s counter-terror posture had fundamentally changed. “This is the new India. It does not fear anyone’s threats. It strikes by entering the home,” he said, adding, “Even nuclear threats will not deter this nation.”

The Prime Minister linked Operation Sindoor to earlier retaliatory actions targeting cross-border terror infrastructure, insisting that attacks like the one in Pahalgam would no longer go unanswered. “The country saw the destruction of camps that trained and sheltered those responsible for targeting our people. Within days, the message was delivered that India will respond,” he said.

Modi described the April and May operations as a “turning point” in national security policy. “Those who thought they could harm our people without consequence have now seen the reality,” he said.
