Mohali, Sept 30 — Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda continues to remain on life support at a private hospital in Mohali, four days after sustaining severe injuries in a road accident in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district. Doctors said his condition remains critical with no significant signs of improvement.
Hospital authorities noted that Jawanda’s neurological status is severely compromised, with minimal brain activity despite intensive care. “The overall prognosis remains guarded,” the statement read.
An MRI scan of the brain revealed hypoxic damage, believed to have resulted from the CPR administered at the first treatment center. Additional scans of the spine showed extensive injuries to the cervical and dorsal regions, leaving the 35-year-old singer with profound weakness in all four limbs.
Jawanda, who was traveling to Shimla on Saturday, met with an accident in the Baddi area after reportedly losing control of his motorcycle. He was initially treated locally before being shifted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali in what doctors described as an “extremely critical” condition.
Hospital officials said he continues to require prolonged ventilator support as efforts to stabilize him are ongoing.
