Mohali, August 9: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann launched the statewide staging of the theatrical play ‘Hamare Ram’ from SAS Nagar (Mohali), joining residents for the opening performance. The state administration declared that the production will travel to 12 districts across Punjab, offering 41 free shows aimed at strengthening communal harmony and cultural awareness.
The Chief Minister declared during the inaugural event that public access to high-quality performing arts helps reinforce foundational values such as truth, righteousness, and unity. He praised the artistic contribution of lead actor Ashutosh Rana and the production team, asserting that the contemporary portrayal of the classic epic offers a meaningful experience for viewers of all ages.
The official schedule includes upcoming stagings in key cities such as Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Sangrur, and Khanna alongside major industrial and historical hubs. The Chief Minister affirmed that the state government remains dedicated to organizing inclusive cultural events that reflect the rich history and shared traditions of the state.
Reaffirming the government’s broader vision, the Chief Minister maintained that investment in arts and culture is essential for building a harmonious society.
