Mansa, Oct 20: Speaking to media personnel in Ludhiana on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reflected on his interactions with bereaved families in Gurdaspur, Sangrur, and Mansa, describing the experience as deeply moving and somber. The central official noted the severe human cost imposed on communities by synthetic drug availability and underscored the necessity of sustained intervention.

The Home Minister maintained that regional administrative frameworks have proven insufficient in dismantling established illicit networks, which continue to impact local youth. Reaffirming central resolve, the leader pledged systematic efforts to achieve a drug-free environment across the state by the close of 2029. The official ended his regional tour by taking part in the ceremonial ‘Ravan Dahan’ marking Dussehra observances in the city.
