ODISHA, DEC 31, 2025: The Defence Research and Development Organisation on Wednesday successfully conducted flight trials of two Pralay missiles off the Odisha coast, with the defence ministry confirming that all mission objectives were achieved.
The missiles were launched in quick succession during user evaluation trials to assess their performance under operational conditions, officials said.
“The flight-test was conducted as part of user evaluation trials. Both the missiles followed the intended trajectory meeting all flight objectives as confirmed by tracking sensors,” the defence ministry said.
Pralay is an indigenously developed quasi-ballistic missile system featuring an advanced navigation suite to ensure accuracy. It is designed to carry multiple types of warheads and strike different categories of targets.
Defence officials said the trials demonstrated the reliability and accuracy of the missile, reinforcing India’s growing indigenous missile development programme.
