Gurugram, Jan 26: Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini joined citizens at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurugram on Monday to celebrate the 77th Republic Day, marking the occasion by unfurling the national flag. The state-level event was part of broader festivities held across various districts in Haryana to honor the nation’s constitutional milestone.

During the ceremony in Sector 38, the Chief Minister received the salute from a marching parade following the national anthem. In his address to the gathering, he noted the transition of the country’s security infrastructure toward self-reliance and domestic production.

“Today, our defense sector is rapidly emerging as indigenous,” Saini said.

The Chief Minister spoke regarding federal initiatives, specifically noting that the Prime Minister has launched the Ji Ramji scheme to improve the lives of the labor force. He noted that Haryana has taken the lead in implementing these national visions, contributing to its standing in the region.

“I am pleased to report that the small state of Haryana has begun efforts to fulfill the Prime Minister’s vision,” the Chief Minister said. “This is why Haryana remains number one in North India in many categories.”

Security was a primary focus for the event organizers, with a comprehensive three-tier system established at the stadium. Authorities deployed 3,000 police personnel throughout the district and monitored the area via drone surveillance. Officials also conducted inspections at 52 different checkpoints to ensure public safety during the celebrations.

The state government remains dedicated to the goal of a self-reliant India through youth empowerment and worker welfare programs. Similar patriotic fervor was seen in other parts of the state, including Yamunanagar, where Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Anil Vij led the district-level Republic Day proceedings.
