Chandigarh, Jan 30: A fresh administrative order from the Haryana Chief Secretary’s office has redirected the portfolios of several high-ranking IAS officers, prioritizing the management of urban missions and civil supplies. The move, effective immediately, sees a reconfiguration of responsibilities for both veteran officials and rising administrators within the state cadre.
Shashvat Sangwan has been elevated from his post as Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) in Thanesar to lead the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) as its Mission Director. This appointment comes as part of a broader three-officer transfer list aimed at filling critical vacancies in the state’s developmental and supply-chain sectors.
“Raja Sekhar Vundru will continue as Additional Chief Secretary, Transport Department,” the order signed by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi confirmed. Vundru, formerly in charge of Fisheries, now steps into the role of Additional Chief Secretary for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs.
The restructuring also affects the leadership of the Fisheries Department. D Suresh, while retaining his status as Resident Commissioner at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi, has transitioned from the Food and Civil Supplies wing to become the Principal Secretary of Fisheries.
The administration noted that the transition period for these offices is set to begin instantly. Regarding the vacancy left by Sangwan’s arrival at the Swachh Bharat Mission, the government said that Jaideep Kumar’s next posting will be announced at a later date.
