Zirakpur, Feb 2: A 28-year-old Panchkula resident was killed on the spot after a minor traffic dispute in Dhakoli, Zirakpur, escalated into a fatal shooting on Monday night. The victim, Prince Kumar, sustained two gunshot wounds to the chest when a 40-year-old bouncer, Kuldeep Singh, allegedly used his licensed firearm during a heated altercation.
The violence was triggered by a disagreement over passing vehicles on a narrow stretch of road. According to reports, the confrontation intensified quickly, resulting in Singh firing his .32 bore revolver at Kumar and his companion.
The second man, 30-year-old Bharat Bhushan, suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound to the throat and was moved to a nearby medical facility for emergency care.
Police authorities arrested the suspect within six hours of the incident and successfully recovered the weapon used in the crime. In light of the fatal outcome, the administration has begun the process of canceling Singh’s arms license as the investigation into the shooting continues.
