MANSA, February 24, 2026 — Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann declared on Tuesday that the era of outdated political engines is over, as he laid the foundation for a Government ITI in Fatehgarh Sahnewali. The Chief Minister affirmed that the state is now moving forward on a “new engine” of development led by Arvind Kejriwal’s vision, while the BJP, Akalis, and Congress remain stuck in the past.

Addressing the public in Mansa, the Chief Minister maintained that the previous rulers deliberately kept the youth uneducated to ensure their own political survival. He asserted that the AAP government has shifted the focus back to the people, mentioning that over 63,000 government jobs have been provided based on merit alone.

“The people of Punjab have lost their faith in the traditional political parties because of their anti-people and anti-Punjab stance,” Chief Minister Mann stated. He noted that the traditional parties are envious of his administration because they cannot accept the son of a common man governing the state effectively.

The Chief Minister detailed the specific technical trades to be offered at the new ITI, including Electrician, Mechanic Electric Vehicle, and Industrial Robotics. He declared that education is the ultimate key to progress, stating that in the future, a person’s wealth will be measured by the education of their children rather than financial assets.

Beyond education, the Chief Minister talked about the ‘Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna,’ which he affirmed is the first scheme in India to provide cashless medical treatment up to 10 lakh for every resident family. He also announced the ‘Meri Rasoi Yojna,’ which will provide free food kits to 40 lakh families starting in April.

“Our government has laid due emphasis on development of this sector and in the coming days a person will be called rich not by his wealth but by the education acquired by his children,” he said. The ceremony was also attended by senior leader Manish Sisodia and Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains, who both affirmed the government’s commitment to honest governance and economic prosperity.
