Iran Responds to U.S. Escalation With Defiant Defense of National Heritage

Military commanders warn Washington of 'strategic quagmire' following Trump’s strike warnings

TEHRAN/NEW DELHI, APRIL 2: Tehran has formally rejected President Donald Trump’s threats to return the country to the “Stone Age,” describing the remarks as a sign of historical ignorance. Following the U.S. President’s address on Wednesday, Iranian officials affirmed that their country’s 7,000-year-old civilization remains resilient against the ongoing aerial campaign conducted by U.S. and Israeli forces.

The Iranian Embassy maintained that the label of “Stone Age” more accurately describes the nature of modern warfare conducted against civilian populations. Tehran affirmed that the global community recognizes Iran’s historical weight, contrasting it with what they described as the relatively brief history of the United States.

“It is you who are taking your soldiers to their graves, not Iran,” declared Brigadier General Seyed Majid Moosavi in a statement directed at U.S. defense officials. He affirmed that the American administration’s objectives are fueled by a distorted perception of reality that ignores Iran’s actual military endurance.

While President Trump stated that U.S. military goals are on the verge of completion, Iranian military representatives asserted that the U.S. is failing to grasp the reality of the situation on the ground. They noted that claims regarding the total destruction of Iranian command and control are inaccurate.

The spokesperson for the Iranian military declared that the U.S. is falling into a trap of its own making by underestimating local capabilities. He stated that continued strikes on infrastructure would not achieve the diplomatic or military surrender Washington expects, but would instead solidify Iranian resistance.
