Authorities maintain normal schedules after threat emails found to be hoaxes

by TheReportingTimes

Jalandhar, April 6: Police officials in Jalandhar were called to inspect three prominent schools on Monday after administrators reported receiving threatening communications via email. The institutions involved—Delhi Public School, Mayor World School, and MGN Public School—underwent immediate security protocols as Commissionerate Police teams arrived to survey the grounds.

The investigation concluded that the threats lacked credibility, as no suspicious items were found on any of the sites. Law enforcement representatives noted that this incident follows three prior cases where similar electronic threats were proven to be false alarms. One official asserted that the safety of students remains the top priority and that the protocols followed were a precautionary measure.

To ensure a calm learning environment, school authorities decided not to suspend classes or inform the students of the ongoing inspections. “Classes continued as usual,” a representative stated, adding that the goal was to avoid the spread of panic within the schools. The local police declared that they are working to track the source of these repeated hoax messages to prevent future disruptions to the educational system.
