CHANDIGARH, June 1: The localized weather shifts will bring immediate changes to areas like Hisar and Fatehabad, where winds between 40 and 50 kilometers per hour are expected to accompany early June showers. By midweek, the precipitation will spread toward southern regions, including Rewari, Jhajjar, and Faridabad, before peaking on Thursday with more generalized coverage across northern districts.
IMD Chandigarh Director Surender Paul affirmed that the incoming atmospheric changes would counteract the typical seasonal warming pattern. He stated that despite a temporary rise in daytime temperatures in the southern districts on Monday, the broader system ensures stability.
“Maximum temperatures are expected to remain stable, and heatwave conditions are unlikely to develop,” Paul declared regarding the five-day outlook. Officials stated that recent temperatures have set a cool baseline for the week, pointing to Sunday’s maximum data where Sirsa topped the state at a modest 37 degrees Celsius during a period that generally sees far higher averages.
