Chandigarh, June 19:Punjab has opened registrations for a government-funded coaching program designed to prepare minority and backward-class students for national banking and insurance selection tests. The specialized program covers preparation for banking probation posts as well as administrative vacancies in the Life Insurance Corporation and General Insurance Corporation networks.
The state-sponsored training is restricted to graduate-level applicants from Punjab with an annual household income limit of Rs. 3 lakh from all financial streams. To process applications, the Social Justice Department requires self-attested documentation to be delivered to the Ambedkar Institute in Mohali or forwarded through designated electronic mail coordinates before the end-of-month deadline.
Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur noted that under-represented youth deserve an equal platform to enter prestigious corporate and public domains.
“Our Government is committed to ensuring that no talented youth is deprived of opportunities due to financial constraints and that every deserving candidate receives the necessary support to realise their potential,” the Minister asserted.
She declared that building equitable resource distribution remains a foundational duty of the current state leadership.
To ensure transparency and merit-based entry, the institute will host an eligibility test from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on July 3, 2026. This selection test will objectively measure the applicants’ general knowledge and core logical skills. Government representatives concluded that detailed eligibility provisions have been uploaded to the department’s public welfare website, appealing to all capable regional students to leverage the free program to enhance their technical employment prospects.
