New Delhi, Nov 5: The Election Commission process for the Rajya Sabha seat in Madhya Pradesh concluded with Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri securing the position unopposed. Official procedures were finalized following the scrutiny of submitted nomination filings.
Poll officials stated that the papers submitted by candidates Kante Sayanna and Rajkumar Lohani failed to meet the required criteria during the verification process, leading to their formal rejection. With no other valid nominations remaining, Puri was officially declared elected.
The outcome formalizes the minister’s representation in the Upper House, with official certification completed by electoral authorities in accordance with parliamentary election rules.
