NEW DELHI, AUGUST 6: Intermittent rainfall and active monsoon conditions will persist over the National Capital Region over the next few days, following a widespread morning spell that drenched several key arteries of the city.
The weather department has placed Delhi under a yellow alert, cautioning citizens against potential thunderstorms and gusty winds as rain-bearing clouds cover the sky.
“Favourable atmospheric patterns are maintaining moisture flow across the region,” asserted an IMD weather expert, adding that commuters need to take extra precautions during heavy spells and electrical activity.
Rainfall reported from locations like RK Puram, Raisina Road, and Firozshah Road moderated temperatures across the capital after days of uncomfortable humidity. Traffic officials reported slowed vehicle movement on major transit routes, while authorities continue to monitor evolving weather systems to issue timely updates for low-lying areas.
