Admission Rush Crashes Chandigarh Education Website

Emergency backup link activated for Class XI government school aspirants

by TheReportingTimes

Chandigarh, June 26: Thousands of students seeking admission to Class XI in Chandigarh government senior secondary schools were blocked from registering after the School Education Department’s website collapsed on Friday. The outage occurred at a critical juncture in the academic cycle, forcing an immediate redirection of all online traffic.

An alternate route has been established via the official UT Administration platform to allow applicants to complete their forms. The department declared that the disruption stems from a major technical glitch triggered by high volumes of students attempting to log in simultaneously after the release of the Class X board results.

Prospects from across the Tricity region can still submit their applications by accessing the public notice section on the UT administration website. The administration asserted that the dedicated link will remain active while technicians work to resolve the primary server issues.

No official decision has been reached regarding a deadline extension to compensate for the downtime. Officials affirmed that the backup system is intended to mitigate difficulties for students, though worries persist regarding those with limited internet access during this competitive admission phase.
