Madrid, July 4: Fugitive syndicate head Gurpreet Singh, alias Goldy Dhillon, has been taken into custody by security forces in Spain following a massive international manhunt. Dhillon, who also operates under the moniker Goldi Rajpura, had established a sophisticated extortion and target-killing network across north India while hiding out in Europe.
The breakthrough arrest was finalized through actionable intelligence shared between the Punjab Police, Chandigarh Police, and central security networks. Dhillon had surfaced as a primary target for regional police forces following the daylight shooting of a medical store cashier in Chandigarh’s Sector 11 and subsequent extortion threats sent directly to ruling party lawmaker Neena Mittal.
Indian administrative agencies are currently engaged in processing formal legal requests to secure Dhillon’s repatriation to face immediate trial. Extradition files are being pushed through diplomatic channels to expedite his return into state custody.
“Dhillon has run multiple extortion and target killing modules across Punjab over the past year,” an intelligence official affirmed. “He sought to establish dominance over the illegal arms and narcotics trade in Punjab by eliminating rivals through intimidation and violence.”
Operational details into his network’s mechanics reveal that Dhillon handled his field agents remotely, relying on a trusted Spain-based recruiter identified as Mandeep Sarpanch to source local shooters through social media platforms. In the specific Sector 11 pharmacy homicide, investigators disclosed that Dhillon had ordered a six-man cell from Jammu to infiltrate Punjab, splitting them into operational pairs tasked with executions and backup strikes.
While the National Investigation Agency has formally chargesheeted Dhillon alongside Canada-based fugitive Goldy Brar for extortion, field investigators clarified that the two operate distinct independent wings.
