Ludhiana, August 15: The state administration’s focus on spiritual tourism, temple redevelopment, and social welfare was highlighted by AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal during a public address at the ‘Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam’ event in Ludhiana. The devotional gathering saw widespread participation from residents, marking another major stop in the ongoing multi-city cultural tour across 23 districts.
Speaking to the assembled crowd, the party leader stated that public trust in Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership continues to grow as administrative policies deliver tangible benefits to households.
“No government or political party has ever done as much for Sanatan Dharma as the Bhagwant Mann government is doing,” Arvind Kejriwal stated. “The government is making it possible for ordinary people, including the elderly, to undertake pilgrimages to important religious sites with dignity and without any financial burden”.
Details were provided regarding the expanded Mukh Mantri Teerath Yatra Yojana, which has added destinations such as Haridwar, Rishikesh, Mathura, Vrindavan, and Khatu Shyam to its itinerary, complementing existing routes to Sri Anandpur Sahib, Amritsar, and Naina Devi. The state administration is funding the full cost of travel, boarding, and meals for participating devotees.
The address also focused on major cultural investments, including state-funded public viewings of the grand theatrical show ‘Hamare Ram’ and the comprehensive upgrade of the Mata Kali Temple complex in Patiala.
“In other states, one seat for this play costs ₹8,000, but CM Bhagwant Singh Mann has made it completely free for the people of Punjab,” Arvind Kejriwal affirmed, encouraging families to participate in upcoming shows across the state.
He maintained that the combination of free public services, zero electricity tariffs, direct financial transfers for women, and spiritual support reflects the administration’s overall commitment to serving the people of Punjab.
