Ludhiana, August 19: Three high-profile fugitives associated with the Bambiha gang were deported from Malaysia and taken into custody by Punjab Police following a joint operation with central intelligence agencies.
Announcing the success of the mission, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav stated that suspects Jaspreet Singh, Ajay Singh, and Pawandeep Singh were apprehended at New Delhi’s IGI Airport after their flight landed from Malaysia.
The operatives were actively wanted in several criminal cases concerning targeted killings, extortion rackets, and arms offenses, alongside an ISI-supported conspiracy to trigger explosives in populated areas of Ludhiana. The Counter Intelligence Wing’s specialized Overseas Fugitive Tracking and Extradition Cell led the international tracking effort.
The DGP declared that the state police remain fully committed to dismantling cross-border crime syndicates and bringing overseas fugitives to justice. The three individuals are being brought to Punjab under heavy security for further investigation into their local network and funding channels.
