Kanpur, August 27: One pilot died on the spot and another suffered major injuries after a private training plane crashed near the Ganga Barrage in Kanpur on Thursday morning.
The small aircraft reportedly went down in a field within the urban area, triggering an immediate response from municipal authorities and security personnel. Emergency crews managed to pull the surviving co-pilot from the structural debris before rushing the victim for urgent medical care.
Officials asserted that the crash site has been cordoned off to prevent public gathering and to safeguard key flight evidence.
The administration stated that investigative agencies will examine the flight history, weather conditions, and physical remains of the aircraft to pinpoint the exact sequence of events leading to the accident.
