FARIDKOT: Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) restored the candidature of four MBBS aspirants who had been debarred from consideration under the 85 percent Punjab State Quota in the ongoing NEET-UG counselling process. The decision follows a thorough review of representations and formal verification of records with respective state authorities, university officials declared in a public notice.
The four candidates, hailing from Assam, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana, were part of a group of 25 aspirants debarred earlier after initial scrutinies indicated dual quota claims across multiple states. University administrators stated that the restored candidates remain subject to meeting all standard eligibility criteria and regulatory provisions. Officials affirmed that administrative checks ensure fair allocation of state quota seats while addressing genuine candidate representations promptly.
