CHANDIGARH — Speaking to reporters in Chandigarh on Wednesday, AAP Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu urged SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami to hold a open press conference regarding recent administrative allegations linked to an FIR against an Akali leader.
Baltej Pannu stated that opposition figures from various political factions have remained silent on the circumstances detailed in the police report. He maintained that issuing recorded statements falls short of addressing the specific queries raised by the public regarding accommodation arrangements at the Sri Anandpur Sahib sarai.
Pannu asserted that investigating authorities should be allowed to examine all relevant evidence impartially without public character assassination of the complainant. He declared that long-term political oversight over religious management bodies risks weakening public trust, calling for greater transparency in institutional operations across the state.
