Ludhiana, Sept 28: In a swift police response, authorities in Ludhiana solved the abduction of a four-month-old boy within five hours, arresting his paternal aunt and an accomplice from neighboring Jalandhar.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening when two masked perpetrators confronted a family member holding the infant near a market street in New Chandra Nagar, forcibly seizing the child before escaping through nearby lanes. Upon receiving the alert, Haibowal police filed an immediate FIR and mobilized five specialized investigation teams to analyze CCTV footage and track escape routes.
Police units located the hideout in Jalandhar, successfully rescuing the unharmed child and taking both suspects into custody. Senior police officials stated that early interrogations suggest the aunt, along with her associate, intended to sell the child.
Following the successful recovery, senior district police officers returned the child to his father, Alok Kumar. Authorities declared that further interrogations are underway to unravel the full network behind the planned sale and prosecute every individual connected to the offense.
