CHANDIGARH, SEPT 30: A shift toward drier weather and cooler nighttime temperatures is set to take hold across Haryana following the complete exit of the Southwest Monsoon.
Meteorological officials affirmed that night and early morning temperatures will drop across the region due to snowfall reported in nearby upper mountain areas. Weather predictions indicate stable, dry conditions across all districts for the foreseeable future.
The seasonal review highlights significant regional variations in rainfall distribution. Over the full season, the state recorded a 25 percent overall shortfall, with all districts except Palwal falling behind their expected seasonal averages. Ambala, Rohtak, and Kaithal also registered major seasonal deficits ranging from 44 to 48 percent.
September proved especially dry across southern and central Haryana, with Mahendragarh, Sirsa, Charkhi Dadri, and Jhajjar reporting monthly rainfall shortfalls exceeding 60 percent. Weather authorities noted that barring localized surpluses in northern pockets like Panchkula, most of the state relies on upcoming autumn conditions as the monsoon pattern formally draws to a close.
