Chandigarh, Oct 1: Signs of a leadership change in the Punjab Congress surfaced as outgoing state unit chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring modified his official online profile description to reflect his tenure as former PPCC president. The update comes as national leadership prepares to announce his successor following recent organizational reviews.
Party insiders maintained that the social media change aligns with administrative directives regarding the upcoming hand-over. Concurrently, various state leaders and key political camps have initiated discussions in the national capital to present their views on the state organizational setup.
The selection process involves balancing key demographic considerations across the state’s regions, with senior Hindu and Jat Sikh figures under consideration for the primary post. The party’s central command is expected to finalize and release the formal appointment details shortly.
