ANANDPUR SAHIB, OCT 2 — Authorities in Anandpur Sahib have initiated legal proceedings against a PG owner following formal allegations of misconduct and harassment made by a resident student.
The victim, enrolled in a final-year BCA degree program, reported to law enforcement that the accommodation operator, Kulwinder Singh Baba, engaged in persistent inappropriate behavior during her stay at the facility near Sai Hospital. In her complaint, she detailed specific instances occurring between September 29 and September 30, alleging that the accused made unwanted physical advances and continued pursuing her after she explicitly rejected his propositions.
Police personnel registered the case at the local police station under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita pertaining to harassment and unlawful restraint.
Investigating officer ASI Neelam Rani is leading the inquiry into the matter. Police representatives stated that legal procedures and factual verifications are actively under way to ensure appropriate action is taken.
