NEW DELHI, OCT 16: Delhi Police visited CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke’s living quarters on Friday morning, preventing him from leaving to participate in the outfit’s scheduled afternoon demonstration at Central Park in Connaught Place.
Approximately seven to eight police officers arrived at the location to serve legal notices, restricting the activist from leading the planned patriotic march. Dipke expressed outrage over the restrictions placed on peaceful expression involving the national emblem.
“Are they stopping us from carrying our own Tricolour in our own country? This is what Narendra Modi has turned our country into. We cannot even wave our Tricolour in our own country,” Dipke stated.
The restriction comes on the heels of statements clarifying that the CJP movement’s core objective is demanding an unbiased replacement for CEC Gyanesh Kumar rather than overthrowing the administration. After registering his written objections on the police documents, Dipke maintained that state machinery should direct its attention toward safeguarding women and addressing pressing security issues across Delhi.
