Amritsar, August 6: Unauthorised re-transmission of live Gurbani feeds from the Darbar sahib will face strict legal remedies, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee clarified.
Reaffirming its sole ownership over the sacred broadcast, the religious committee cautioned digital creators and satellite networks against picking up official feeds without prior consent.
“Unapproved relay of our official streaming channels violates established guidelines,” declared SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami, adding that institutional permissions must be secured before any media dissemination.
The development comes after several broadcasting networks began airing twice-daily transmissions by utilizing open links. While platform heads maintained that the relay aimed to widen spiritual access for the global Sikh diaspora, apex officials emphasized that administrative protocols cannot be bypassed.
