Mansa, Oct 24: The confrontation surrounding the death of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota intensified as his father, Bhim Singh, demanded the immediate transfer of Mansa SSP Vaibhav Chaudhary and boycotted any future dialogue attended by the official.
Although state authorities provided written assurances on multiple subsidiary demands, the family and the action committee remained resolute in their primary positions, which include pressing for the resignations of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav.
Expressing anguish through a recorded statement, Singh maintained that sitting across from the officer allegedly connected to the incident added insult to injury, compounding the grief of the bereaved household.
In addition to the transfer request, the family called for official copies of recent suspension orders to be handed over while pressing for a rigorous and uncompromised inquiry into official accountability.
