State Notifies Updated Land Pooling Guidelines for Industrial and Urban Projects

Voluntary acquisition framework establishes revised plot allocation norms and clear timeline for consent

by TheReportingTimes

Chandigarh, Nov 4: The Haryana administration has introduced the Land Pooling Policy-2026 to streamline land assembly for major infrastructure and commercial initiatives. Under the revised guidelines, landowners voluntarily participating in state development projects will receive half of the total saleable area, structured across residential, industrial, and institutional plot sizes starting at 100, 250, and 500 square meters respectively.

The implementation process requires developing authorities to publish identified land details publicly and secure landowner consent within 30 days of share publication. Property registrars will maintain official holds on transaction records until sale deeds are executed within the stipulated 60-day timeframe. The policy also provides a 0.5 per cent fee of the agricultural collector rate for registered land aggregators following the successful completion of sale deeds.
