Moga, Oct 26: A drive-by shooting in Moga claimed the lives of two men and injured several others late last night, prompting Punjab Police Director General Gaurav Yadav to personally visit the town. The DGP met with the families of the victims to offer condolences and declared that the department is conducting a comprehensive investigation into the violent attack.

The incident occurred as several individuals gathered near a local storefront. Passengers inside a passing SUV unleashed a barrage of bullets without warning before fleeing the area. Two residents, Gagan Jindal and Sahil Jindal, succumbed to their injuries, while additional victims received medical attention for bullet and shrapnel wounds.

Senior Superintendent of Police Sartaj Singh Chahal maintained that investigators have already received crucial leads, including names offered by those affected. Law enforcement agencies are currently examining surrounding closed-circuit camera recordings, collecting forensic samples, and documenting formal statements. While preliminary assessments point toward a potential old enmity between the parties involved, authorities stressed that all possibilities remain under active review.

Community members remain deeply concerned following the violent episode, while police officials affirmed that every individual involved will face firm legal consequences.
