Washington DC, 23 December 2024:Donald Trump, the U.S. President-elect, has named Sriram Krishnan, an Indian-American entrepreneur and venture capitalist, as the Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the White House. Trump made the announcement on Sunday alongside other appointments in the AI sector.
Krishnan, who boasts a distinguished career in the tech industry, including roles at Microsoft, Twitter, Yahoo, Facebook, and Snap, will work closely with David O. Sacks, who has been appointed as the White House AI & Crypto Czar. Together, they will spearhead AI policy and ensure that the U.S. maintains its leadership in the rapidly advancing field of AI.
“I’m honored to serve alongside David Sacks, and I am committed to supporting the continued leadership of the United States in AI,” Krishnan said. “This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of this pivotal technology.”
The appointment has received significant support, particularly from the Indian-American community.
